ETHIOPIAN FARE

Learn how to cook exotic and healthy Ethiopian meals with Yeshi Demisse. Class is limited 5-8 people to enable participants hands-on experience. We cook together and enjoy a healthy dinner.

Participants get hand outs with useful information on Ethiopian ingredients/spices and their benefits as well as how to incorporate these in their daily cooking with additional recipes.

FOOD CRAVINGS AND HOW TO OVERCOME THEM

Food Cravings are a result of imbalance in the diet as well as certain lifestyle habits. In this class we identify the cause and learn how to create balance in your eating habits. We will identify the food groups that provide complete nourishment and create a meal plan to incorporate into your daily eating that will help you to overcome food cravings.

We will together cook a balanced meal using various methods of food preparation to enhance the flavor and nutrients of the ingredients we use, We would sample and enjoy dinner at the end.

Black Iris, UR’s Modlin Center for the Arts, and The Nile Cafe are pleased to host Dina Elwedidi for a very special evening of music and conversation.  This free event- a precursor to her stage performance at The Modlin Center- will feature her band performing unique renditions of her original works, invitations to drop in and improvise with the band, and food exquisitely prepared by The Nile Cafe.  Our mission is to seamlessly integrate various World cultures into one harmonious event.  We invite you all to join us in celebration, and we hope to see you here!
